传统锔瓷技艺，历经几百年传承、发展，是老百姓生活中必不可少的万能修补匠。过去家里的锅、碗、瓢、盆、首饰等物品破了，请锔匠锔起来并继续使用，形成人们“惜物保福”的情感和习俗。锔瓷技艺对中国民间绝活的传承和瓷文化的发展以及考古、修复具有重要意义，有重要的传承和保护价值。Traditional porcelain-mending skill, after hundreds of years of inheritance and development, has been indispensable universal tinkers in the lives of ordinary people. In the past, the mender was asked to repair the broken pots, bowls, gourd ladles, basins, jewelries and other items in the home for continuing to use them. This formed the emotion and custom for people to cherish items and pray for happiness. Porcelain-mending skill is of great significance to inherit Chinese folk unique skill, develop porcelain culture as well as archaeology and restoration. It also has important inheritance and protection value.
锔艺这门细致的手工活，共有24样72种136道绝技，包含嵌补、嵌口、包边、包嘴、镶包、嵌饰、做件等镶嵌包锔法。面对破损的瓷器，循缝找碴，捧瓷固定，谨慎打孔，锻钉锔器，每一步都考验匠人的心性、眼力和分寸。伴随着轻脆的敲打声，一件件破损的瓷器“破镜重圆”，成为新的艺术品。Porcelain-mending skill is a meticulous manual work. There are twenty four types and seventy two kinds, one hundred thirty six unique skills, such as inlaying, setting the mouth, wrapping the edge, wrapping the mouth, polishing, inlaying decorations, piece-making and other skills. Facing broken porcelain, the mender finds the crack and broken pieces, holds the porcelain to fix it, punches holes carefully, forges nails to repair the item. Each steps test the disposition, vision and a sense of proportion in the mender. Accompanied by the light and crisp knocking sound, pieces of broken porcelain are joined together and become new artworks.
