Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference, for the first time, adopts the form of online and offline combination. The majority conference audiences were online and yet a few hundreds invitees attended offline sessions in five cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Changsha.

(Analysis of conference participants)

As the first domestic open-source organization focusing on open source governance, community development, global bridging and open source projects, Kaiyuanshe is formed entirely of individual volunteers who dedicate to contributing and advocating on open-source. COSCon, hosted by Kaiyuanshe, has been held for five consecutive years with its core differentiation of vendor neutrality, for public good, non-profit, as well as promoting and contributing to open source. As the most influential annual open-source event in China, COSCon brings together the most popular topics in the field of advanced open source technologies, and invites the most authoritative and most popular open source gurus at home and abroad to share their ideas and insights.

In the meantime, with the spirit of "public good", every year's COSCon received numerous assistance from volunteers. This year, over 150 enthusiastic volunteers from the different regions of the country provided their support for the conference from all aspects, to ensure the smooth progress of the conference.

In the future, Kaiyuanshe will stick with its original intent, continue to pay attention to the open-source industry, and strive to continuously promote the development of open source in China, so as to provide a platform for communication and learning for open source fans around the world. Build an open-source toolset around the concept of "open source governance", including license selection, community operations, online competitions, open-source motivation, and other aspects, and try to promote it to more open source projects. Bring the experience of open source governance to other open source communities and projects in the form of tools.
