lucid /ˈluː.sɪd/ 表示“清晰的，明了的；（人）头脑清醒的，说话清楚的”，英文解释为“clearly expressed and easy to understand, or (of a person) thinking or speaking clearly”举个🌰：

她清楚明了地讲述了自己对公司未来的规划。

lush /lʌʃ/ 1）表示“（地区）郁郁葱葱的，植被茂盛的”，英文解释为“A lush area has a lot of green, healthy plants, grass, and trees.”如：lush green valleys 郁郁葱葱的山谷

2）表示“美味的；愉悦的，使感官愉快的”，英文解释为“very attractive to look at, taste, smell, etc.”如：the lush taste of the ice cream 冰激凌的美味。

circular /ˈsɜːkjʊlə/ 1）作形容词，表示“圆形的”，英文解释为“Something that is circular is shaped like a circle.”如：a circular hole 圆洞。

2）表示“（旅行或路线）环行的”，英文解释为“A circular journey or route is one in which you go to a place and return by a different route.”举个🌰：

Both sides of the river can be explored on this circular walk. 

沿着这条环形步行道走，河的两边就都可以看得到了。

3）表示“循环论证的；迂回而无效的”，英文解释为“A circular argument is one that keeps returning to the same points and is not effective.”

4）作名词，表示“（同时发给很多人的）通知，通报，传单”，英文解释为“A circular is an official letter or advertisement that is sent to a large number of people at the same time.”举个🌰：

The proposal has been widely publicized in press information circulars sent to 2,345 newspapers.

2）yield /jiːld/ 表示“（常指被迫）放弃，让出”，英文解释为“to give up the control of or responsibility for something, often because you have been forced to”举个🌰：

sovereignty /ˈsɒvrəntɪ/ 表示“主权，统治权”，英文解释为“the power of a country to control its own government”

1）熟词僻义，作动词，表示“获得；设法得到；争取到”，英文解释为“to get something, sometimes with difficulty”举个🌰：

2）表示“使安全；保护；保卫”，英文解释为“to make certain something is protected from danger or risk”举个🌰：

This form of investment is an excellent way of securing your children's financial future.

这种投资方式是为你的孩子提供日后经济保障的极佳方式。

表示“找到并根除，发现并杜绝”，英文解释为“to find and remove a person or thing that is causing a problem”举个🌰：

召开古田全军政治工作会议，以整风精神推进政治整训，

We held a meeting on military political work in Gutian in 2014 and improved political conduct through rectification initiatives.

conduct作名词，表示“行为，举止”（a person's behaviour in a particular place or in a particular situation），如：优良作风 fine conduct或者说excellent conduct。

📍2020年报告Part 2中提到：加强党风廉政建设 improve Party conduct and build a clean government.

📍2021年报告Part 18：深入推进党风廉政建设和反腐败斗争，We will work harder to improve Party conduct, ensure clean government, and root out corruption,

表示“矫正，改正”，英文解释为“The rectification of something that is wrong is the act of changing it to make it correct or satisfactory.”

configuration /kənˌfɪɡ.əˈreɪ.ʃən/ 1）表示“布局；构造，结构；格局”，英文解释为“the particular arrangement or pattern of a group of related things”举个🌰：

We tried the furniture in different configurations to see which fit best.

我们尝试了不同的家具布局，看看哪一种最适合。

2）表示“（计算机的）配置”，英文解释为“the way in which all the equipment that makes up a computer system is set to operate”

administration应该都不陌生，administer作动词，用来表示“管理，治理”（to manage the work or money of a company or organization），或者是表示“执行，实施；给予”，英文解释为“to provide or organize something officially as part of your job”举个🌰：

It is not the job of the police to administer justice; that falls to the courts.

司法不是警方的职责，而是法院的职责。

此外还有熟词僻义，表示“施用（药物），给予（治疗），派发（药物）”，英文解释为“to give someone a medicine or medical treatment”举个🌰：

Painkillers were administered to the boy.

已给那个男孩服了止痛药。

表示“自主，自主权”，英文解释为“the ability to make your own decisions without being controlled by anyone else”

momentum /məˈmen.təm/ 表示“动量，冲量；冲力；推动力；势头”，英文解释为“the force that keeps an object moving or keeps an event developing after it has started”举个🌰：

Once you push it, it keeps going under its own momentum.

一旦你推动了它，它就会在自己的动量作用下持续运动。

我们提出新时代解决台湾问题的总体方略，促进两岸交流合作，

We have put forward an overall policy framework for resolving the Taiwan question in the new era and facilitated cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation.

2）表示“驾驶”，英文解释为“When you steer a car, boat, or plane, you control it so that it goes in the direction that you want.”举个🌰：

He steered the boat into the harbour.

She has clear-cut evidence that the company cheated her.

stance /stɑːns/ 表示“（尤指公开表明的）观点，立场”，英文解释为“a way of thinking about something, especially expressed in a publicly stated opinion”举个🌰：

The doctor's stance on the issue of abortion is well known.

这位医生在堕胎问题上的立场众人皆知。

hegemonism /hɪˈɡem.ən.ɪ.zəm/ 表示“霸权；霸权主义”，英文解释为“control by the strongest and most powerful group, especially the strongest and most powerful country”举个🌰：

We defend state sovereignty and national dignity and oppose hegemonism.

我们捍卫国家主权和民族尊严，反对霸权主义。

waver /ˈweɪ.vər/ 1）表示“（尤指暂时地）动摇”，英文解释为“to lose strength, determination, or purpose, especially temporarily”举个🌰：

I'm afraid my concentration began to waver as lunch approached.

恐怕我的注意力在临近午饭时要开始下降了。

2）表示“（在两个选择之间）踌躇，犹豫不决”，英文解释为“If you waver between two possibilities, you cannot decide which of them to choose or you keep choosing one way and then the other.”举个🌰：

I'm wavering between the soup and the cake.

我正在犹豫是喝汤还是吃蛋糕。

🎬电影《犯罪活动》（Criminal Activities）中的台词提到：That if opportunity presents itself, do not hesitate, do not waver. 如果机会出现，不要犹豫，不要动摇。
