关爱的艺术 - 致敬疫情前线奋战的医护人员！

年初，陪伴老人在四川省医院住院治疗，医生的专业，护士的认真，留下很深的印象。出于习惯，记录了一些护士护理的场景细节。绘画是我的一种表达语言，正值疫情的艰难时刻，在旅行中就着随身携带的小纸签和碳素墨水笔画下20来张小画，表达一下心情。绘制过程中，想起近代护理学奠基人弗洛伦斯·南丁格尔[1]和她那些给人以启示的格言，觉得合适，也抄录翻译一些放在文中。并以此文：

致敬四川省医院的医护人员！

致敬疫情前线奋战的医护人员！

Nightingale Pledge [2]

I swear in front of God and the congregation that I will be pure all my life,faithful to my duties, and do my best to raise the standard of care; do not take or use harmful drugs for harm; keep the patient's household chores and secrets carefully, and assist the doctor in his treatment and in his welfare. Oath.

南丁格尔誓言

于上帝及会众面前宣誓：终身纯洁，忠贞职守。勿为有损之事，勿取服或故用有害之药。尽力提高护理之标准，慎守病人家务及秘密。竭诚协助医生之诊治，务谋病者之福利。谨誓！

"Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts."

护理是一门艺术，跟画家和雕塑家创作作品一样，需要专心致志和艰辛准备；与面对没有生命的画布和大理石相比，护理面对的是圣灵之殿有生命的肉体，我不得不说，这也是艺术，一种最好的艺术。

"Nurses must be compassionate and willing to work."

护士必须要有同情心和一双愿意工作的手。*

"There is a need for safety in life. One is to clean the air, the other is to clear the water, the third is to circulate ditches, the fourth is to sweep and sprinkle the house, the fifth is to have sufficient sunlight."

人生欲求安全，当有五要。一是清洁空气，二是澄清饮水，三是流通沟渠，四是扫洒屋宇，五是日光充足。*

"Careful care can really prevent the epidemic."

悉心的护理才能真正避免疾病的流行。

"I am of certain convinced that the greatest heroes are those who do their duty in the daily grind of domestic affairs whilst the world whirls as a maddening dreidel."

我确信，最伟大的英雄是那些在日常工作中尽职尽责的人，虽然周围的世界像一只疯狂的陀螺一样在旋转着。

"God is merciful, and for the sake of human beings,he has said a lot of absurd comforts."

上帝是仁慈的，因为人类，

他说了很多荒谬的安慰话。

"I am destined to be a drifter. For my mission, I would rather not marry, socialize, or spend money."

我注定是个漂泊者。为了我的使命，
我宁可不要婚姻，不要社交，不要金钱。*

"The very first requirement in a hospital is that it should do the sick no harm."

医院的首要要求是不能给病人造成伤害。

"Excuse me? My success is:I never seek excuses and never accept excuses."

借口？我的成功归於：我从不找借口，
也绝不接受借口。

"It is very well to say “be prudent, be careful,try to know each other.” But how are you to know each other? "

“谨慎，小心，试着互相了解” 听起来有道理，

但是又怎么去互相了解呢？

"Rather, ten times, die in the surf, heralding the way to a new world,than stand idly on the shore."

在通往新世界的冲浪中死去十次，
强于站在岸上无所事事。

"Mankind must make heaven before we can 'go to heaven' (as the phrase is) in this world as in any other."

在这个世界上，人必须在“去天堂”之前先造就天堂。

"How very little can be done under the spirit of fear."

恐惧，是做不成什么事的。

"I don't want to flatter, as long as people understand me."

我不需要奉承，只需要人们理解我。

"I think ones feelings waste themselves in words;they ought all to be distilled into actions which bring results."

我认为人的情感浪费在言语中；它们应该在能够带来结果的行动中得到提炼。

"Nursing is a progressive art such that to stand still is to go backwards."

"Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses. We must be learning all of our lives."

护理是一门不断进步的艺术，静止不动就会倒退。
永远不要认为自己已经是熟练的护士，
我们必须毕生学习。

"So never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is wonderful how often in such matters the mustard-seed germinates and roots itself."

永远不要错过开始实践的机会，哪怕这样的开始小如芥末种子，也终将会生根发芽。

"Live the life while you have it. Life is a splendid gift-there is nothing small about it."

好好生活，生活是一份精彩的礼物，不可小觑。

[1] 弗洛伦斯·南丁格尔（Florence Nightingale，1820-1910年），近代护理学的奠基人。在克里米亚战争中培训护士并在英国创办护理学校。其撰写的《医院札记》和《护理札记》两书，以及100余篇论文，是护理教育和医院管理的重要文献。“南丁格尔”也成为护士精神的代名词。她是世界上第一个真正的女护士，其护理理念影响了全世界一代又一代的医护人员。 *：中文来自网络。

[2] 南丁格尔誓言（Nightingale Pledge) 中英文版，是为纪念弗洛伦斯·南丁格尔而命名的护士誓约，是对护理职业道德和原则遵守的誓言，最早出现在19世纪末，目前有几个版本。

【作者简介】陈颍，毕业于成都石室中学，1987年考入中国科技大学，学习高分子物理，后赴美国留学。在芝加哥Motorola做软件开发和项目管理十多年后，2011年起定居北京。自幼喜爱美术，闲暇之余，爱逛画展，爱翻画册，翻译艺术史，还不时画上几笔。
