2009年至2016年，邵志飞担任香港城市大学创意媒体学院院长。现任香港城市大学媒体艺术的讲席教授及互动媒体与电算应用中心（香港、成都）的总监。邵氏也是德国卡尔斯鲁厄ZKM新媒体艺术中心的创始总监（1991-2002），以及澳大利亚新南威尔士大学iCinema互动电影研究中心的联合创始总监（2003至今）。

邵志飞近期获得的奖项包括：2003年澳大利亚研究理事会联合研究资助奖项；2005年日本岐阜市Oribe奖；2015年奥地利林茨电子艺术节媒体艺术先锋金尼卡奖；2020年国际电算学会电脑图像及互动技术专业组（ACM SIGGRAPH）杰出艺术家终身成就奖。
Jeffrey Shaw
From 2009 to 2016 Shaw was Dean of the School of Creative Media, the City University of Hong Kong (CityU). He is currently Endowed Chair Professor of Media Art and Director of the Centre for Applied Computing and Interactive Media (Hong Kong, Chengdu) of CityU. Shaw was also founding director of the ZKM Institute for Visual Media Karlsruhe, Germany (1991-2002), and co-founding director of the University of New South Wales Australia iCinema Centre for Interactive Cinema Research (2003-).
Shaw's recent awards include Australian Research Council Federation Fellowship, 2003; Oribe Award, Gifu, Japan, 2005; Ars Electronica Golden Nica for Visionary Pioneer of Media Art, Linz, Austria, 2015; Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement in Digital Art, ACM SIGGRAPH, 2020.
