Hot off the Press! E-Labor Contracts is Allowed Now

On 12 of July 2021, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently released the Guidelines for the Conclusion of Electronic Labor Contracts. According to the document, lawfully concluded electronic labor contracts are protected by law; employers and employees should fulfill their respective obligations under the electronic labor contract.According to the Guidelines, if an employer plans to conclude an electronic labor contract with employees, they should do it through a platform.If both parties agree to conclude an electronic labor contract, the employer should explicitly inform employees of the procedures for concluding the contract, and matters needing attention, as well as how to check and download the electronic contract; the employer must not charge any fee from employees.For more information please visit the website of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China.
