Lynk & Co developing 7-seater SUV, said to be Lynk & Co 06

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lynk & Co, a premium car brand spawned from the relationship between China's Geely and Sweden's Volvo, is ambitious to roll out 10 new models in China by 2020. It has so far deployed three major models—the Lynk 01, 02 and 03, as well as two spin-off models—the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV and the 03+. The next one to be launched into market is said to be the Lynk 05 coupe SUV.

We don't know which model will come on the heels of the 05, while what we have got from Geely’s bid invitation platform is that the automaker is developing an E-segment 7-seater luxury SUV code-named EX11, which features the similar size to the Volvo XC90. Some local media outlets said the new model is expected to be the Lynk & Co 06, which is designed to rival premium models like the Lexus RX.
The EX11 will be built on the DMA (D-segment modular architecture) platform, an automobile platform jointly developed by Geely and Volvo for premium vehicles and NEVs. According to Geely, the DMA platform is created on the basis of the CMA (compact modular architecture) platform, and will focus on B-segment SUVs and SUVs in higher segment.
Besides, the EX11 will be offered with the trim level that carries four-wheel-drive hybrid system, according to Geely’s bid invitation announcement.
The EX11 is likely to be fitted with a Volvo T5 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, said local media outlets. The new vehicle will be produced at Lynk & Co's Meishan plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Involving a total investment of around RMB3.4 billion, the plant has currently planned out three new models—the EX11 will be the first one that is expected to be put into production in the first half next year.
