Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 18, BYD’s hotter-selling B-segment sedan of its Dynasty series, the BYD HAN, had two refreshed versions, namely, the HAN DM-i Champion and the HAN DM-p Zhanshen (“God of War”) put onto the market.

To be specific, the HAN DM-i Champion edition comes with six trim levels, four of which are capable of a 121km range on battery power alone, while the other two’s battery-only range is 200km. It features a price range of 189,800 yuan to 249,800 yuan.

Thanks to BYD’s DM-i super hybrid technology, the HAN DM-i Champion features a fuel consumption as low as 4.2 liter per 100km when its battery is running out of juice, and a maximum combined range of 1,260km.

In terms of color, the HAN DM-i Champion introduces a brand new exterior color dubbed Glacier Blue, utilizing two core material technologies from BASF. On the chassis side, it comes standard with the FSD variable damping suspension system and aluminum alloy multi-link, allowing for flexible adaptation to various road conditions.

It is worth mentioning that some trims of the HAN DM-i Champion offer the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system (hardware is already installed and OTA upgrade will be available later this year) as an optional facility.

The HAN DM-i Champion gets the smartphone-based NFC car key as standard, which supports a variety of Android and Apple devices. Additionally, it also features two major configurations, BSD (blind spot monitoring) and W-HUD display, to further strengthen active safety.

The HAN DM-p Zhanshen edition is priced at 289,800 yuan. It utilizes BASF's third-generation black paint, creating a deep black shade with delicate shimmer, offering a strong visual impact.

In terms of exterior design, the HAN DM-p Zhanshen features a series of smoked black suites, including the sporty wheels, the badge, the triangular windows, etc.

Powered by BYD’s DM-p hybrid technology, the HAN DM-p Zhanshen boasts a maximum output of 580Ps and a peak torque of 822N·m, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 3.7 seconds.

Under the NEDC test cycle, the HAN DM-p Zhanshen features a range of 200km on battery power alone, a fuel consumption of 5.2 liter per 100km when the battery is depleted, and a combined range of up to 1,120km.

The DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system is installed onto the HAN DM-p Zhanshen as well.
