〔宋〕晏殊
燕子来时新社，梨花落后清明。池上碧苔三四点，叶底黄鹂一两声，日长飞絮轻。
巧笑东邻女伴，采桑径里逢迎。疑怪昨宵春梦好，元是今朝斗草赢，笑从双脸生。

When swallows come, Spring Rites hail.As pear blooms fade, Pure Brights wail[1].The pool grows mosses tinged green.The leaves hide orioles that keen[2] .Days longer, catkins soft flying.
Smiling east vill girls greetingon th’ mulberry picking way.A nice dream they had last night?They won th’ “Name Herbs” game[3] today!Smiles on the cheeks growing just bright.

[1] 此前拙译杜牧《清明》一诗【清明节专辑| 杜牧《清明》及25个英文译本】，以 Tomb Sweeping Day 来意译“清明”，以凸显杜牧原诗节日扫墓要义和悲恸情景。此次，以 Pure Brights 来直译晏殊词中“清明”二字，旨在凸显原词传达节日意味外更加强调春景之意图，故此用 wail 一词加以平衡，既不失节日之意，又客观地呼应梨花之状，情景交融。
[2] 这首词被普遍认为意象清新淳朴，节奏活泼轻快，描绘欢乐的清明春景图。然而，笔者在这种欢乐中也略见些许惆怅。故此，用富有深意多意的 keen 一词：作为形容词，其暗含欢快活跃之意；作为动词，有恸哭之意，与 wail 呼应。
[3] 斗草，又名“斗百草”，古代女子间经常玩的一种游戏，分为武斗和文斗。武斗主要斗车前草，比赛双方先是将各自的草相互交叉成“十”字状，之后各自使劲拉扯，以不断者为胜。文斗主要斗百草，以对仗的形式报出各自手里的花草名，以草类采集多，对仗水平高，坚持最后者为胜。拙译主采“文斗”之意。
