Introduction: The Innovation has published 158 articles from 2020 to 2021 (Figure 2). The authors come from 29 countries and articles belong to 9 categories (Figure 3), which have been cited by researchers from 78 countries (Source: Web of Science). The Innovation is a multidisciplinary journal covering all natural science fields. To facilitate readers to refer to articles in a specific field, Editorial Team integrates the contents from different Issues to make this Virtual Collection. The Innovation will change to bimonthly publishing in 2022 (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov).

引言：从2020到2021，The Innovation出版两卷七期共158篇文章（图2），作者来自29个国家。这些文章分布在9个栏目（图3），已被78个国家作者引用（数据源: Web of Science）。The Innovation是综合性英文期刊，发文内容涵盖所有自然科学领域。为方便读者查看出版的某领域文章，编辑部整合这两年不同刊次的相关内容，陆续推送Virtual Collection（虚拟专辑）……在本刊发表的文章，同时在微信公众号上进行“科普化解读”——尽可能让更多人懂得文章的主旨和亮点：传播科学知识，传承科学素养。自2022年起，The Innovation改为双月刊（出版月份：1、3、5、7、9、11）。

About Public Health (v1)

公共卫生1.0

Public Health: Public Health studies play an essential role in fighting off the biggest killers of humans. Public Health helps detect health issues as early as possible and responds appropriately to avoid the development of disease. Public Health is an interdisciplinary field drawing on the natural and social sciences as well as the humanities. Focusing on such an important topic, to see the unseen and change the unchanged, The Innovation takes the responsibility and keeps on publishing broad topics, cutting edge interdisciplinary, border-crossing and comprehensive sciences in Public Health, as listed in this virtual collection. 

公共卫生：公共卫生的工作和研究在保护人群健康方面发挥着至关重要的作用。公共卫生研究有助于尽早发现危险因素和人群健康问题，并适当做出反应，以避免疾病的发生发展。公共卫生是一门交叉学科，包含了自然科学、社会科学以及人文科学的跨学科合作。The Innovation自诞生之日起就立志于“见所未见，变所未变”（see the unseen and change the unchanged），传播科技发展，共创美好未来。The Innovation高度重视公共卫生研究、交叉科学的发现、报道与传播，引起了广大读者和科学家群体的共鸣。为进一步传播公共卫生研究重要发现，本刊特组合Public Health公共卫生虚拟专辑。本次专辑收录与Public Health公共卫生相关的Article 3篇，Report 5篇，Review 2篇, Perspective 1篇，共计11篇。
