学术会议|“多元格物,多语致知”国际学术论坛会议

近年来,应用语言学的“多语转向”使得多语研究日益成为热门话题,同时越来越多的研究者开始反思全球知识生产中的语言不平等,以及这种语言不平等所导致的认识论上的不平等问题:长期以来,由于英语在学术语言中所占据的绝对主导地位,由此形成了固化的单语思维模式,而这样的语言不平等现象同时催生了认识论上的不平等,即英语国家奉行的实证主义认识论成为了默认的“正统”,具有地方性、本土性和特殊性的知识日渐式微,进而使得社会固有的复杂语言现实在一定程度上受到了遮蔽。为此,学界呼吁打破应用语言学研究中固有的“单语惯习”,重视并发掘多元的语言文化资源,以期打破全球知识生产体系中的结构性不平等,维护和培育知识生产中认识论的多样性和包容性。
本次论坛主题定为“多元格物,多语致知”,语出《礼记·大学》中“格物致知”为“天下平”的起点, 即取自“致知在格物,物格而后知至,知至而后意诚……国治而后天下平”之意。
自2015年以来,国际青年应用语言学者联盟一直致力于开拓多语研究实践,连续七年举办语言研究青年学者海上论坛系列国际论坛,践行多语研究新范式、探索多语资源及其背后的认识论多样性、实现研究对象的丰富多元化。为进一步促进认识论多样性与包容性的多语主义理念,联盟拟于2023年9月29日至10月4日在澳大利亚新南威尔士大学(澳大利亚悉尼)举办以Multilingualism for Epistemological Diversity and Inclusion (“多元格物,多语致知”)为主题的国际学术研讨会,诚邀各位同仁参与。

二、论坛主旨演讲专家简介


专家简介

Ingrid Piller [澳大利亚]麦考瑞大学

Ingrid Piller is Distinguished Professor of Applied Linguistics at Macquarie University, Sydney, where she previously served as Executive Director of the Adult Migrant English Program Research Centre (AMEP RC). Over the course of her international career, she has also held appointments at universities in Germany, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and USA. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and recipient of a 2018 Anneliese Maier Research Award.She serves as editor-in-chief of the international sociolinguistics journal Multilingua (De Gruyter Mouton), and edits the sociolinguistics portal Language on the Move, through which many of her publications and those of her team, including their research blog, can be accessed.

Peter De Costa [美国]密歇根州立大学

Peter I. De Costa is an associate professor in the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures (LiLaC). Within this department, Peter directs the Master of Arts in TESOL (MATESOL) Program. He is part of the core faculty within the Second Language Studies Ph.D. Program and the MATESOL Program. He also directs the Language Policy and Practice lab that is situated within the College of Arts & Letters.

王丹萍[新西兰]奥克兰大学

Dr Danping Wang is Senior Lecturer of Chinese at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. She has nearly 20 years of experience teaching Chinese as a second language, having developed new courses and teaching resources for learners of Chinese at all levels at prestigious universities and organisations such as Renmin University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, the University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council. Dr Wang's dedication to Chinese language teaching and leadership in Chinese programme development has been recognised with the Teaching Excellence Award in Hong Kong. In her previous position as Assistant Professor, she also successfully secured a major research grant funded by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council. At the University of Auckland, Dr Wang is currently leading a Marsden Fund project supported by the Royal Society of New Zealand, which aims to integrate Māori epistemologies as an innovative framework to transform Chinese language education in the Aotearoa-specific context and beyond. The Faculty of Arts has also awarded her an Early Career Research Excellence Award in recognition of her contributions to promoting multiculturalism and Asian language education.

Head of the Department of English Language Pedagogy, School of English and American Studies, Eötvös Loránd University; director of the Language Pedagogy and English Applied Lingustics PhD Programme, Eötvös Loránd University. Co-editor of the international journal (Q1): Across Languages and Cultures. Member of the Linguistics Committee and chair of the Applied Linguistics Working Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

吴 贇 [中国]同济大学

教育部“长江学者奖励计划”青年长江学者,同济大学特聘教授、博士生导师,2019年国家社科重大项目首席专家。研究方向:中国文学外译、对外话语研究。
