President Trump full speech on Election results: November 5, 2020

Are you being a sore loser?「你是输不起吗?」

In an astonishing speech from the White House, Donald Trump spelled out a long string of lies, conspiracy theories and promised to go to the courts as he refused to accept not everyone had voted for him

Deluded Donald Trump last night stunned the world with a rambling speech filled with lies and conspiracy theories.

The Republican again claimed to have won the election, in spite of rival Joe Biden being on the verge of securing the White House.

If Biden's win is confirmed, Trump made it clear he would not go gracefully, pledging to go to the courts to campaign against "illegal" voting.

As has been a theme throughout his four-year presidency, there is no evidence to back up his outlandish claim.

Trump was riled about mail-in voting, overlooking the fact that he himself had voted by post.

He also slammed "suppression polls" and spent 17 minutes blaming everyone but himself as his grip on power weakens.

Several networks, including ABC, cut off when the President started telling untruths, and he was met by an immediate backlash.

Such was the bafflement Trump's speech caused that CNN's Anderson Cooper likened him to "an obese turtle on his back, flailing in the hot sun realising his time is over".
