诗人船

诗人们认为他们是一条船，

并纷纷登上了船。

请让我也登上诗人船

航行于时间的浪涛上，

不必摇动桅杆，

也无需移动船身

（因为时间正在

它周围越来越迅速地移动）。

诗人们等待着，拒绝睡眠，

拒绝死亡，

为了不错过那个

船岸分离的瞬间——

这条石船执着地

期待着某件

永不会发生之事，

这不是不朽，又是什么呢？

Ship of Poets

The poets think it’s a ship

And they get on board.

Let me get on the ship of poets

That sails through the waves of time

Without ever rocking its mast

And without ever having to move

(Since time moves around it

Faster and faster).

The poets wait and refuse to go to sleep,

Refuse to die,

So as not to miss that final instant

When the ship departs from the shore—

But what is eternity if not

This very ship of stone,

Obstinately waiting for something

That will never happen?

依赖

依赖太阳，依赖影子，依赖云，

依赖叶子和花朵，

依赖不时变卦的风

　　总是从不同的方向吹拂

　　在凶兆预报者挣扎的林子里，

依赖群群灰鹤飞临和离去；

依赖所有女人和男人，

依赖无数生者，依赖众多死者，

依赖我自己智慧的时光，愚蠢的时光，

　　尤其是过去的时光。

哦，上帝，放开我吧，放开我吧，

让我摆脱时间和地点，祖先和子孙，

摆脱所有男人和女人，

摆脱我自己，如果你能的话！

如此，我便可以欢笑，苦涩的叶不会摇动，

我便可以哭泣，大海不会掀起浪涛，

我便可以出发，不用拖拽着世界

就像拖拽着一块桌布

　　上面杯盘狼藉

支离破碎，掺杂着酒和食物。

让我最终自由，孤独，

仅仅面对我那有罪的纸页。

Dependent

Dependent on the sun, the clouds, the shade,

Dependent on leaves and flowers and glades,

　　　on the shifting wind

　　　that always blows and trembles

In the trees, foreboding the rains

And the coming and going of the cranes.

Dependent on women and men,

On the thanks of the living, on the hoards of the dead,

On my own years, illumined, or stupid instead,

　　　but mostly, all used up.

O Lord, let me go, let me go,

From time and space, from ancestors and children,

From women and from men,

And from myself, if you can!

So I can laugh without the bitter falling of leaves,

So I can cry without the swelling of waves in the sea,

So I can leave without dragging the world in my wake

Like a tablecloth scattered with glasses and plates

　　　all broken and confused

And mixed with the wine and the food.

Let me be free, alone at last

And only guilty before my page.
